What internships did you have while you were at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï?
I had an internship with the video and scouting stafffor the WNBA’s professional basketball team, the Chicago Sky. In that role, I broke down our games and our opponents’ games using performance analysis software. Working with the head video coordinator, I helped make personnel clips for the team and assisted in preparing and constructing scouting reports on future opponents using scouting analytics, play diagramming software, and reporting programs.
What do you do now?
I am Manager of Advance Scouting and Player Development Associate for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers.
How did °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï prepare you for your career?
°Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï helped prepare me because it gave me the opportunity to advocate for myself and be independent about my studies, which I feel helped develop me for my work today. Every college student is on a different journey, and I think that °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï does a really nice job of letting students—especially self-designed majors—be self-sufficient with their studies, yet a part of the school’s beautiful community.
