General Transfer Guidelines for four-year college and university and community college transfers

Using transfer courses and/or AP scores, students may satisfy the following 4 fundamental courses for the NEUR major at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.  In order to transfer, a course must be completed with a C- or better.  If you have questions about specific transfer courses or requirements, please contact the chair of the neuroscience program.

  1. To satisfy the BIOL 120L requirement, you must transfer:
    • at least two laboratory-based general biology courses (see specific courses below)
  2. To satisfy the CHEM 115L requirement, you must transfer:
    • a first laboratory-based general chemistry course (the first in a two-course sequence)
  3. To satisfy the CHEM 116L requirements, you must transfer:
    • a second laboratory-based general chemistry course (the second in a two-course sequence)
  4. To satisfy the PSYC 110L requirement, you must transfer:
    • an intro to psychology course (or an AP Psych score of 5) AND a basic statistics course (or an AP Stats score of 4 or 5)

In addition, while participating in off-campus study, students may satisfy a maximum of 2 elective courses for the NEUR major at °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï.  These courses must be approved by the department chair prior to the start of the off-campus study experience.
